I Love This Forest

I go to the forest alone

and I’m so scared

and look to the moon

and see the skies are blue.

I’m so happy

and not scared again

I see my mom behind me

I’m so happy

and I go to this forest every day

I love this natural forest.

Poem by En Sen, 10 years, living in Cambodia.

The poem is a result of the workshop Creative Writing from the NGO Writing Through, one of the partners of CONNECT.
