Drawings from India

The following art is made by children from one of our partner organisations:

Sakthi-Vidiyal from Madurai in Tamil Nadu, India.

Vidiyal was founded in 1996 as a programme of Sakthi in the city of Madurai to provide safety and support to children in need of care and protection, especially street children, runaway children, abandoned children, working children, children from excluded communities and children experiencing difficult circumstances.

Over the past two and a half decades Vidiyal’s rights-based approach has changed the lives of street children and its dynamic engagement with marginalized communities has helped hundreds of children to break many barriers of social exclusion.
